Introducing Mjölk Fireside Rocker The newest edition to our continued collaboration with Thom Fougere has arrived in the showroom! The Fireside Rocker is a low-profile, solid wood rocking chair designed for moments spent by a fire or stove. Originally crafted for a private client's cottage, this simple rocking chair provides the perfect spot to sit and nurture the elemental relationship we share with fire. |
We currently have a pair on view here at the shop, so make sure to come by to try them out. |
Back in Stock: The Royal Sconce As pictured in the background of the first image, we are also happy to share that these popular brass candle holders are back in stock. This sconce has been made since 1930—the originals, made by Malin's grandfather, were purchased by King Gustav of Sweden as a wedding gift to Prince Gustav Adolf and Sibylla. The collection of handmade sconces endures after three generations, with work taken over by Malin Appelgren Bailey at the workshop in Sweden. This one is slightly smaller (21cm across) than ones we’ve had in the past. There are also only 4 available. Pictured below: Malin in her workshop. |
Back in Stock from Carina Seth Andersson One of our favourite Swedish glass collections have finally arrived back in the shop! We received all three sizes of the of the Kolonn vase collection, as pictured above. This collection was originally designed for the reopening of Stockholm's national museum. Each vase has a unique textured surface that beautifully reflects light, emulating the texture and movement of water. The medium size is currently sold out. |
These smaller vases by Andersson make lovely holiday gifts. Pictured below for example is the smaller Tokyo Vase on our holiday table in the shop. It is originally designed as a glass vase but can also be use as a tealight lantern. |
