NEW Summer Saturday Hours We have new summer shop hours beginning this Saturday! Summer Hours of operation: |

New Arrivals Japanese Antiques We continue to add to our beautiful collection of curated antiques from Japan. Make sure to keep a look out on our website so to not miss those special pieces! |
Pictured above is an earthenware vase with a leaf and foliage relief from the Han Dynasty. A wonderful large scale vase with traces of the original glaze throughout the surface of the pot. This vase would be ideal on a low coffee table, or hallway bench. |
We also have just received a rare and unusual ceramic roof tile dating back to 1657, marking the destruction of Edo (the then capital city of Japan) caused by a massive fire. The event is known as "The Great Fire of Meireki" and this roof tile was made in the first year of the reconstruction of the city. This incredible fragment also comes with a very old and beautiful burnished wood box (pictured below). |

We also have TWO adorable vintage Japanese Racoon Dog Tanuki ceramic figures from Shigaraki in the shop! They make lovely gifts and also sit beautifully in outdoor garden spaces during the summer months. |

New Arrival: Momogusa Bathmats We currently have a small selection of beautiful handwoven cotton-linen bathmats available in store and online. Each is slightly different in size, but all have a soft texture that would be sure to add a moment of luxury to your bathroom routine. |

Back in Stock: Brass Cheese Knife This Japanese Cheese Knife is a familiar favourite of ours. Made with a delicate balance of brass and steel, this knife is well-suited for hard cheeses. We love to recommend this as a thoughtful housewarming gift. |
