Its inner lid closes very smoothly but it has a precise airtight function that preserves the taste of the tea leaves.

Additionally, its interior is tin-lined in order to avoid any metallic smell transfer to the tea. Tin also has antibacterial properties that help maintain the hygiene of any container.
